OneDrive for Business on a 2TB external USB drive (NTFS)

Copper Contributor

I have tried to install OneDrive on the external drive and it does not work. I followed the instructions by unlinking the OneDrive and Run the OneDrive setup again using the external drive but always get the same error message:

Your OneDrive folder can't be created in the location you selected

Please chose a different location

Any idea why?

Did you format the external disk into NTFS? This will wipe the data on it FYI.

I found the issue. I had to modify the access right of the external drive. It was working fine with Dropbox but not with OneDrive.

All is fine now.
