OneDrive.exe Application Error ntdll.dll

OneDrive application was crashing / restarting multiple times per hour with errors similar to this:

I raised this with MS Support for analysis but without a root cause.

Recreating the OneDrive folder structure from scratch has eventually stabilised the situation but it's "destructive".  Would it be possible to for Microsoft to handle this situation more gracefully and report and/or fix OneDrive relate filesystem errors automatically?
