One Drive sync error has wiped my documents on desktop

Help. I have logged into someone else computer at work so we could look at a file on my One Drive. I then 'unlinked' and went home. In the meantime by One Drive had obviously decided to sync with her computer, so when I got home she called me and told me that her documents on 'my documents' are now empty folders and the work has disappeared. I have looked on my One Drive and I have those folders too, also with nothing in them. Please, please can you help me? I'm really devastated and she's trying really hard to be nice when she should be really angry...
