Issue in OneDrive app - There was a problem connecting to Onedrive.

There was a problem connecting to Onedrive. Teams is working fine.

 

Above is the error message.

50 users are affected.

I have several users reporting this as well, with no apparent resolution after having tried various solutions including (but not limited to):

  • Disabled the firewall
  • Reset IE
  • Reinstalled one drive client
  • Update one drive client to the latest version
  • Tried removing TLS settings from IE and adding back
  • Tried resetting onedrive client using command: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
  • resetting the network adapter by running netsh winsock reset
  • Clearing away the Onedrive folders in the user's Appdata folders and reinstalling again
  • Adding a Windows Firewall rule to allow OneDrive
  • Checking for proxy settings (there were none)
