We use a lot of MS Excel and PowerPoint Docs for reference where we are always having multiple people with it open, editing, all at the same time. We keep running into issues where we need to open the document in the App so that we can utilize more features, however this causes the application to freeze often when we are in the same doc, all trying to open from an app, syncing issues and losing work because we have to restore an earlier copy to get it to even open at times.
This is our 4th attempt at restoring the doc and it is very disheartening to have to redo work as many of us know. We have 9 tabs created on this one particular doc we are having issues with. Some tabs have as little as a 100 lines filled in, where as others have 1000. We are not using any crazy formatting, just basics like merge & center or font edit, alignment etc... no formulas either.
We have tried repairing Office App, reinstalling and rebooting. Does anyone have any suggestions on why we struggle with our docs freezing up like that, especially in Excel?
