Which O365 product required Outlook exchange

Hi,

Can some one please tell me which O365 products eg Forms, OneNote, Sway, SkypeforBusiness, Teams, Planner etc required Outlook exchange installed to fully work or which products function fully without exchange outlook installed.

Hi Nipuna,

For best experience to the end users is advised to use Office Installed on PC's.

Any of the products Forms, Sway and Planner are web based.

OneNote, Skype for Business and Teams have a desktop version and also available on web, but you will have more features if installed on a PC.

If you have Outlook installed you will have the full integration and many more functions and integrated with OneNote, Skype for Business and Teams also.

I think Nipuna is also asking what are the Exchange Online dependencies in other Office 365 services and workloads...is in that way? If so, then the scenario changes quite a bit because to have a complete experience using Planner, Groups or Teams is required to have an EXO license

In that case Juan you are right, if is the mailbox itself and not just " fully without exchange outlook installed" yes you need to have EXO license.
