What will batch migration (GSuite->o365) do to existing mail & contacts?

Experts,

I don't know what is going to happen to my existing user's inbox and folders if I do a batch migration from GSuite to o365. I did a PST export, which failed to bring over contacts properly, and a whole lot more grief. Their gmail stopped in October. Their 'new' acco9unt on o365 started then, last year.

If I do a batch migration from G suite to Microsoft Office 365, where the user already has an account, and the G suite account has not been used since October of last year, I am very concerned about how this will impact their quota for email. Dupes?

Will they be receiving twice the amount of emails that were brought over from G suite, or will there be some sort of deduplication?

I guess I'm okay buying a user license for one month and making the batch fill this fictitious user, but is that my only option?

TIA!
