What happens to Powerpoint embedded video playing after IE 11 is removed from M365/O365 apps?

MVP

Powerpoint relies on IE to play embedded videos in slides.

based on this post

  • Beginning August 17, 2021, the remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support IE 11.

so what happens to the Powerpoint? how will people play embedded videos in slides?

will for example Powerpoint use Webview 2?

that blog post suggests to use the new Microsoft Edge, and I already use it, it's perfect.

Webview 2 is based on the same engine, Microsoft's custom Chromium engine.

@HotCakeX I hope PowerPoint uses WebView2. Otherwise, Microsoft is gone. Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets will take over the world.
