I have an end user utilizing Office 2016, she is working with large amounts of data in Excel 2016. When working with this data she receives the following error:

"We couldn't get data from the external source. Here's the error message we got:

The operation has been cancelled because there is not enough memory available for the application. If using a 32-bit version of the product, consider upgrading to the 64-bit version or increasing the available memory on the machine."

Here is the caveat:

She has 16gb of RAM and 64-bit version of office installed.

Some thing(s) to be noted:

She previously had 32 bit version installed.

When shes running the program and task manager is opening she is not even utilizing 25% of her RAM.

I can not find any possible solutions online that have worked.

Please help!

Whats the mailbox size?

Reduce her cached mode to 1 month and see it that works. Some users reported the same issue in my company and that's what worked for us. Sounds like Outlook its not able to pull down all the data in the .ost file.

Thanks,

Ash,MCE
