sharing calander between on-premise & 365 HYBRID

Hiya we've setup HYBRID config  and are now wanting to share calanders between 365 and on-premise.

there are to ways to do this organisation & federation.

HCW configures most of the settings.

I,ve followed this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/exchange/sharing/organization-relationships/organization-relationsh...

and also created sharing policies.

 

testing on-prem & 365 using OWA.--->  on-prem can share calander to 365.

but when on-prem  user opens calander request sent from 365 a new window opens in browser and is redirected to https://outlook.office365.com/  where no mailbox can be found as they dont have one in 365.

We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient. Either they don't have a mailbox or don't have a licence assigned.

why is this happening?

Users will be able to see availability of other users, however Cross premises folder permissions are not supported.
