SharePoint Online - Deny Access to public communication site

I would like to setup a 'Public' communication site where access is denied to users who are part of an Azure AD Security Group.

A similar use case is configurable in SharePoint on-premise by defining the deny policy at the web application level.

Is there any way to deny access to an Azure AD Security Group to a set of site collections in SharePoint Online?

Unfortunately, SPO does not provide that setting so if you need to ensure a specific security group is not added to your sites, you will need to set some kind of automation that check this on a per site basics
