I've got a few users (4) who have editor access to a shared contacts folder. All users are on exchange online, running Office 365.
Currently the users with access to the shared contacts folder are getting an error when trying to edit one of the contacts. The error is below:
The Item cannot be saved to this folder. The folder was deleted or moved, or you do not have permission. Do you want to save a copy of it in the default folder for the item? Yes__No
Regardless of the user's choice, the notes in the edited contact disappear with no trace.
Any ideas on the cause?

Try removing/re-adding the folder, or doing the edit operation via OWA. Though we don't have an "open shared contacts" option in OWA, you can use a direct link in the following format: https://email@example.com/
