Sending files from Teams to a customer using outlook for web

Copper Contributor

Hi experts

I have a requirement to send a file (MS Teams) as attachment to a customer.

I hear you thinking well that not a problem. Well it is a problem!

Start creating a new email, add a attachment located in Teams. So select attachment from a cloud location. Select groups, all Teams will be visible (if member off), select your Team.

At this moment you will only see the channels which are not private, you can't select a private channel while they exist.

Any one a solution?

@Je-We Hello, the same issue occurs in the Outlook client as well. I'm not sure if this is related to an known bug where members/owners of private channels can't access files, but it sure sounds like it. What has been done it those cases is to either remove the member/owner and adding again, or switch from member/owner and back again. You could try it out at least.

There's a UV for this but not many votes https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/908686-bug-reports/suggestions/39135010-private-channel-...

@ChristianBergstrom

Toggle between "member / owner" would not do the trick.
