Send on Behalf permission

Hi experts

We are using exchange hybrid environment.we are using exchange 2016 Version 15.1 (Build 1466.3)
for one of onprem users mailbox i have given Send on Behalf permission to office 365 user.Office 365 user is not able to send email on behalf. Is cross forest delegaton supported?

Cross forest delegation is supported in Hybrid Environment, though to make it work as expected multiple requirements must be met.
