Remove last On-Premise Exchange and disable Hybrid to use only Exchange Online

Copper Contributor

Hello everyone,

i want to fully switch to Exchange online and disable our hybrid scenario to remove the last exchange on-premise. I read a lot of older posting  that i have to keep the last server to change Exchange attributes. Also this Microsoft-Posting recommends it: https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/exchange/decommission-on-premises-exchange?redirectedfrom=MSDN
I have a local AD which is snyced by "AD Sync" to Office 365.

Which is the actual recommended approach?

Regards Lars

Nothing has changed in this regard. Any configuration involving managing Exchange-related objects and attributes on-premises requires you to have at least one Exchange server, if you want to stay in *supported* configuration that is.
