Problem with Page Setup within Sheet - "row and column headings" box in Excel wont stay unchecked

Copper Contributor

Microsoft office Home and Business 2016 - This only starting a day ago for me at the office... The "row and column headings" box in the "Sheet" tab of the "Page Setup" is now checked and when I set is to be unchecked then save, it is back again when re-opening workbook... This is happening to many of my colleges as well, is there a fix? Was it because of a recent update? HELP!

Today Microsoft said to uninstall and reinstall Office 365.  I did so and still have the problem.

Especially Frustrating because the HELP documents states:

Print row and column headings

By default, Excel doesn't print the column headings (A, B, C, etc.) or row headings (1, 2, 3, etc.) that appear along the borders of the sheet.

I never believe Microsoft when they say to uninstall and reinstall.

The broke it and don't want to admit it until users become frustrated.

I have the same issue on at least 5 computers; probably more.  Started with Office 365 Update within the last week!

Microsoft Office 365 Business

Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO (16.0.10228.20080) 32-Bit

Product ID: 00265-80200-00761-AA608

Version 1806 Build 10228.20104

As I expected.  Microsoft broke it and now fixed it.

Why they can't test before they release instead of leaving it to users to report bugs.

I ran Office Update today and new release was updated

I was Microsoft Office 365 Business

Version 1806 Build 10228.20104

Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO (16.0.10228.20080) 32-Bit

Product ID: 00265-80200-00761-AA608

After update I am:

I was Microsoft Office 365 Business

Version 1806 Build 10228.20134

Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO (16.0.10228.20134) 32-Bit

Product ID: 00265-80200-00761-AA608

Row and Column Headings not printing is defaulted to OFF and stays OFF

A fix was found. They did an Update that has fixed this issue. Simply update through "file", "account" "update options". You may have to reopen each program (Excel, work, outlook) for the file association to be made.
