Hello there, I have a customer who is looking to implement office365 CSP program for his office.
The customer is looking for the following options:
1) 180 users of Ms Office Applications.

2) 180 users of Ms Outlook

3) 7 - 8 Licenses of Ms Project.

Please do advise if I should just go with Office365 Business Premium or Office 365 E1?

Hi Nathaniel, it's important to note that E1 does not give you any office desktop applications (though you do get Office Online), whereas Business Premium will give you desktop office applications (plus you'll also get access to business apps such as Outlook Customer Manager, Bookings, Connections, Invoicing, Listings, MileIQ and Business center).  Here's a good page to show you the Office 365 Plan Options: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office-365-plan-options.aspx

I forgot to add that you can add MS Project as an additive for any user regardless of your O365 plan, via CSP licencing.

Any business under 300 seats it would be worth looking at Business Premium. However, you may find the Enterprise SKUs offer a more flexible product mix. Consider E5,E1 and F1 if your business has frontline workers. I would also workout the business case with the customer to ensure they can see the value proposition of each licensing scenario. Remember your customer is buying a service so these are monthly / annual operating costs as opposed to the on premise purchasing which is more capex in nature. Take your time working through with the customer their needs before starting their Office 365 journey including migration. Good luck!
