Office 365 and Azure AD (Free edition)

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have a small business and a custom domain, I currently have another email provider and would like to use Office 365 for the email and word/excel (web based).

I have a free edition of Azure AD. I was wondering if I can office 365 access for a subset of users in my already existing Azure AD? If so what's the first step to doing this? I can't seem to do this from microsoft.com, is there a marketplace addon in Azure portal?

No, you cannot use existing Azure AD instance. When you sign up for O365, you automatically get a new Azure AD instance, which actually has more features enabled compared to the "free" tier.

We need Federate multiple instances but not sure justify to your case.
