Office 365 Account Address book behavior question

Brass Contributor

I have a question I am hoping someone has had experience with on Cloud based exchange.

If a user has "Mailbox delegation" for thier supervisor, and this person addresses a message. Can or does the supervisors address book items be seen or used?

Is the person limited to thier Address book and contacts?

My senario....

An administrative secretary sent an email for the supervisor, and claims they do not see the supervisors contacts, but did see them a few weeks ago.

I was not aware that could occur. I thought the person was limited to thier contacts or address book only.

Anyone know what should be expected?

By default no, but you can share the Contacts folder of the Supervisor as well. Simply rerun the "delegate access" setup and select the relevant checkbox next to Contacts or follow the steps here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-a-contacts-folder-with-others-ce5a40d1-bc9f-4f5d-a2aa...
