Microsoft 365 A3 for Faculty reverts accounts back to A1 for Faculty

Hey Tech Community,

Having a strange issue here, we recently were allocated A3 licenses from our EDU Trust, all went smoothly and I can see the licenses in the admin center.

I changed the license for users from A1 to A3 for Faculty, and this changed the license for a day.

The following day the licenses for these users change back to A1 for Faculty.

Is there a setting I need to change somewhere or am I assigning liceses to users incorrectly in admin center?

Would be very greatful if you could please shed some light.

What does the audit log show? Do you perhaps have some sort of automated process that applies licenses, which might be overwriting said changes?
