Office 365 Activity Alerts fire on the basis of events flowing into the audit log. Alerts show up in the Security and Compliance center and admins can register their email to receive messages about alerts. Good as this is, it's even better if you can grab alerts from the Microsoft Graph and display them in different ways, such as in your own dashboard or by posting alerts to a Teams channel.
