Hi experts

i am using exchange 2016 hybrid environment, i have enabled archiving for a mailbox and set the retention policy to 15 days.
The user has folders in his outlook and he has rule created to move the emails to those folders.
The user says that the mails which are in his inbox are being moved to the archival mailbox after 15 days
but the emails in the folders are not being moved to archival mailbox after 15 days.
please help me troubleshoot this issue

Hi there

could you confirm where the folder is created in which mails are moving because of Outlook rule, is it under Inbox?

It is quite possible if the folder is created under inbox than in the Archive folder the same hierarchy is created, so check if the mails are going to the folder of the same name under Inbox...
