I want to segment GAL for my organisation so that the students must not see the email addresses of faculty members but the faculty members must be able to see students email address. Is there any way we can achieve this in exchange online
We have this configured for our Exchange Online instance:
faculty have no policy set and can see all students
student have a "student address book policy" set and can only see other students
No GUI in the EXO Admin Centre to create/manage address book policies, they can only be done via PowerShell. Once they have been created, you can then apply them to users in bulk via PowerShell, or individually from mailbox properties > mailbox features.
