Since doing an Exchange update last weekend when trying to search the inbox in outlook every user is getting the message,
"Looks Like there's a problem with your network connection. Lets look on your computer instead"
When you click the link to look on the computer it finds what you are looking for, however we have online archive's which will not return anything.
Any ideas what may have caused this, i suspect something in the update. How can I fix it.

Is this exchange on-premises as its in the Office 365 forum...it is likely that the content index on your database has a problem (if you are experiencing this issue with on-premises exchange...)
get-mailboxdatabasecopystatus and see the content index state

I posted here as we use Office 365 for the Office Apps and Cloud storage but just have an on-premise Exchange.
the Content Index State is indeed showing as FAILED. Any idea how to fix that??
