Exchange/Outlook Retention Policy JUNK

Copper Contributor

Question- When you have a Junk Email policy in place to delete after 30 days. Then move the email to the inbox using NOT JUNK from Outlook desktop.

Should the Junk mail policy follow the email to the inbox and still be marked for deletion?
Or
Should the email assume the policy applied to the inbox?

Any insight is appreciated!

The Junk policy will not apply, unless you manually tagged individual items with it. When applied on the folder level, the item gets restamped with the new folder's policy.

@Vasil Michev  Thank you!
