We recently merged into another company that did not use Teams Calling/VM until we got here. Now Voicemails in Outlook do not have the Preview Player embedded into Outlook, they're just an attached MP3 file (with the transcription in the body of the message). I found a thread online that says that player will not appear unless the Mailbox is Unified Messaging enabled. I went to enable that, but realized that UM in Exchange Online is retired.
Is there a way to get the Voicemail player embedded again in Outlook without configuring the retired Exchange Online UM features?
Below is a screenshot of the player feature I'm referring to.
Thank you.
