Excel keeps crashing on mac

Hi all,
Since yesterday I have a new MacBook Air. With my Macbook I bought a license for Microsoft tools like excel. I got excel version 16.19 (aired on 13th November 2018). Can't download an other version of excel. My Mac OSX version is 10.14.1 (18B2084). So I expect both ere the latest versions. If I open an excel on this Mac, I get a pop-up asking me if I want macro's enabled or disabled. If I Disable them, the file opens, but I can't use the macro's. If I enable them, the file shuts down if I click on the workbook that uses the macro's.

Saw some blog about installing latest stable version of excel but with a license bought I can't find how to download an older version of excel on Mac. Others say I should delete the preference folder in the Go-menu, but that did not help. Can anyone help me?
