my conditional formatting does not work nor can I change my font colour or my cell colour

Well if we are being vague - mine is working just fine :) If you are looking for help or some troubleshooting steps, try providing us with some more details. For starters, what version of Office are you using, what are the conditions you are trying, any formulae involved, etc.

I reinstalled office home 2016 after it was corrupted but then found I could not highlight cells in different colours or change the font colour, nor could I change anything in conditional formatting like turning a cell green if the value was above a certain level sorry for not being more explicit.
