Deleting synced OneDrive/SharePoint files from a user's devices

Is there a way for an Office 365 admin to delete local copies of synced OneDrive/SharePoint files from a user's device? We would want to do this in the event of a laptop being lost or stolen, or if an employee is about to be terminated. Dropbox admins are able to easily have all locally synced files deleted from all devices a user has synced them to, but I can't find a way to do this in OneDrive/SharePoint.

One possible way is to manage the device with a MDM such as Intune that provides the ability to wipe a device or do a full restet
