Cortana Daily Briefing Not Wanted by Some Office 365 Tenants

The news that Cortana will send users daily briefings to help them organize their daily lives is unwelcome to some Office 365 tenants, if only because it's yet another example of Microsoft forcing functionality into use by making it an opt-out feature. Fortunately, some PowerShell will quickly stop any daily briefings, if that's what you decide to do.

I do not understand how Microsoft can be so tone-deaf on these issues.

 

Here's a simple rule: if you want to communicate directly with the end-users that I'm responsible for supporting, you need to make it opt-in.
