Cannot share file after person changed email address

My client who I would like to share files from OneDrive changed email address olddomain.com to newdomain.com. Now I cannot share files or anything to new address. Office 365 always choose the old address to share and not the new. Same thing with web UI and desktop UI.

Are you using exchange online or on-premises exchange? Is the upn changed for the user? Primary email address?
