Can't open open outlook

Copper Contributor

Greetings,

I have subscribed to Office 365 which I use on my computer. Recently I have decided to try Outlook as my email client.  (home computer I am not a business)

In attempts to open Outlook I get the error - cant find Outlook.pst.  It is not on my computer.

Any remedies on line make no sense at all because some "skan" something file isn't there either.

How do I open outlook and configure it so that will create the Outlook.pst file?

Solution

Go to Control Panel -> Mail and check if there is any Outlook profile configured under Show profiles. If so, delete them. You can also check under Data Files, which is where .pst files should be listed, but that menu might be unresponsive if there is a general issue with the profile.

Thank you very much Vasil, that worked.
