AutoSave: Nice Feature, but Office 365 Tenants Need to Keep an Eye on Network Demand

MVP

If you use Office 365 and store documents in SharePoint or OneDrive for Business, the Office applications can autosave as you work to ensure that you never lose any content. It’s a good idea and the implementation works well. But I have a slight nagging doubt about the network impact for some tenants.

Tony, thank you for the post, very good description - as usual.

That's totally new for me what versions do not affect SPO storage allocation. Good to know.

As for me in some scenarios i prefer to switch AutoSave off, especially with heavy Excel files. Not due to traffic, just to have full control on versions.
