App Passwords not working after Friday's outage

Since the Office 365 outage that impacted EU and APAC on Friday (my time) users that access email using App Password can no longer sync mail - it doesn't accept the password.

Have you tried to create a new App password for any the users having this problem?

Yes a new app password works, but I can't tell all my users to go an generate new password. 1 since they might not be able to get my email to read those instructions and 2, the app passwords are correct. Office 365 shouldn't be rejecting correct app passwords.
