Alias email

Brass Contributor
Hi
I have an alias email account. I use owa. When I am composing a new email, I clicked on the “from” button and typed the alias email address.

The recipient received the new email but it wasn’t from the alias email address. It was coming from the primary account holder.

Why? How to fix?

That's the expected behavior, in Exchange you can only send via the Primary SMTP address. There are several workarounds you can use, and they are discussed in multiple articles online as well as there on these forums, look them up.

Hi @cad-one,

that's by design.

Have a look at ChooseFrom service if you wish to send as alias.
