Adoption - Data Volume?

Steel Contributor

Is there a generic way via powershell or API what amount of datavolume has been uploaded/downloaded  to/from O365 for a period of time?

Maybe to see per user ?

Maybe  for each Application (EXO, SPO,...) ?

This could be in my opinion a good indicator for adoption purpose

What is your opinion ? especially in the sense for adoption.

Have you reviewed the log search features you have in the Compliance Center?

i do see the upload file event in the compliance center, but no information about the file size itself

--> to get the information of an uploaded file, i could deep dive into the different resources (e.g. EXO)

..so this should be possible

however i see two things here:

- compliance center (search) itself does not cover yammer, teams, skype, planner, onenote (as far as i know)

- "download" events (incl. filesize) would be really nice to catch as well

Well, the list of available events is not as complete as we would like...but I'm pretty sure Microsoft will add more events in the future...for instance, I can see we already have actions for Teams

NICE !

Yes, at least this is something but i doubt that i see  all the things i'm looking for.

Public preview means that it is officially released  ?

I'm also a bit confused why they offer just  CSV output in these days. Usually JSON is the much better one (my opinion).

Correct, preview means that the features are not released yet
