Admin Leaving, Move Meetings/Appointments Setup By Admin

Copper Contributor

Good Morning,

We have an admin that will be leaving our organization at the end of the month. She has been the one to create pretty much all of the divisions monthly, weekly meetings/appointments in Outlook (from her Calendar).

With her leaving, what is the best way to move or reassign those meetings/appointments? There are Conference Rooms associated with those requests as well.

Thanks for any info!

It's probably best to recreate them, as you will not be able to make any changes to them going forward if the account that created them originally is not available. And there is no functionality to "assign" meetings to a different organizer. It's a commonly requested feature though: https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/322590-outlook-2016-for-windows/suggestions/34639159-change-own...

Is there a best practice for an Admin creating meetings on behalf of a department? I mean, these are monthly meetings that in upwards of 40 - 60 people attend, typically scheduled each month, 12 months ahead of time... that's going to be A LOT of meeting cancellation, new meeting request emails to Board Members/Community Folks that may not be responsive to that.

Could we just give another user access to the current Admin's account for editing purposes?
