Adding Exchange Attributes

Hello,

Can I extend my on-prem Active Directory to include the Exchange 2016 attributes after my organization is already using Office 365 with AADConnect?  I've never had Exchange installed in my environment and I want to be able to hide addresses from the address book.  Are there any official instructions from Microsoft for doing this?

Yes, you can. The only thing you need to do after is update/refresh the schema in AAD, so that the new attributes are picked up and rules are adjusted accordingly. If you need detailed instructions, read here: https://www.michev.info/Blog/Post/1370/aadconnect-and-extending-the-on-prem-ad-schema
