External Encoder and Public streaming

When using Live Events with the option "An external app or device" it is not possible to select to stream it to Public. Why is that and when will that option be released?

@Linus Cansby - This is because when you create an external encoder live event it's using Microsoft Stream. We don't yet have public anonymous support for MS Stream. We are looking at adding this capability to MS Stream now. You can check the o365 roadmap for more details... https://aka.ms/StreamRoadmap

Public sharing of live events is currently through the Teams option because it is essentially a Teams meeting. However, Stream videos can't yet be shared publicly. I believe when that is possible, public live events through Stream and third party encoders will be possible.
