IT professionals play a key role in enhancing the employee experience at any organization. Microsoft Viva is committed to supporting IT admins to get Viva in the hands of their organization by reducing the time to deployment and centralizing configuration tools in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC).

With our new Microsoft Viva admin experience, IT admins will be able to initiate configuration, deployment, and license management for all generally available Viva applications from a central location in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Admins can now just search for Microsoft Viva in MAC and be directed to the new Viva suite landing page.

On this new page, in addition to the previously provided guidance documentation and resources, admins can now also configure and deploy individual Viva apps. They can see the necessary steps needed to configure a Viva app, the deployment status of each app and where they are in the process of configuration along with impactful metadata. This experience will not only help them track the deployment progress, but also help determine which licenses have been purchased and the license entitlement vs deployment status.

In this new experience, admins can also manage licenses and assign and manage roles. For instance, Global IT admins can assign specific knowledge admins for Viva Learning thereby assigning some of the nuanced deployment tasks such as course customization to the subject matter experts in those roles.

In short, the new Viva admin experience gives IT professionals a clear left to right view of all their Viva investments and enables seamless configuration and org-wide deployment of Viva.

Here is a quick demo of how these features come together in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
