"License turned off"

Copper Contributor

Hi guys,

until recently I used the ToDo app on my (Windows) laptop, iPhone and iPad. Now neither of them work anymore. When I try to login, I get an error message saying that the license is "turned off". If I access the app via the web interface (https://to-do.office.com/), it's still accessible as always.

My fellows from the IT department told me that Microsoft has changed their licensing and therefore the apps don't work anymore. Instead I'm supposed to use the Outlook tab. However, this only solved the issue on the laptop. Outlook on the iPhone and iPad don't have such an integration. (Plus the design of the Outlook integration is horrendous.)

Is anyone aware of such a change of "licensing"? Or maybe has a solution? Otherwise I will have to look out (haha, no pun intended) for an alternative ToDo app. Luckily there's a big selection available.

Thanks

KWD

Recently the ToDo app showed a link to some more information:

Which brings me to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/assign-microsoft-to-do-licenses-381e9d1b-c500-49b5-973e-8...

From the article it seems like a pretty straight forward thing. Just slide the To Do license to "on" and we're done.

Not quite. When the IT department tries to enable it, it raises an error. However, contrary to the message there are no details below.

Anyone got an idea (or ideally a solution)?
