Migrating from Wunderlist

Iron Contributor

Hi

I am trying to figure out when is the best time to move over from Wunderlist ( and not regret it !)

Is that promised Chrome add Todo Task and, or  Chrome new Tab add available ( even in beta)?

Also, with Wunderlist I can can login with my live ID whereas I believe ToDo requires an Org ID aka an Office 365 license.  As long as I can simultaneous administer tasks from at least two separate Org IDs (personal tenant and client's tenant) it don't see this being an issue.  Note, not all clients I have worked with allow access to Office 365 tenants other than their own.

Hi@Daniel Westerdale

I would say the best time to move is now. I have been using "Microsoft To Do" and I am very satisfied using this app in all levels whether is business or personal. Very solid and reliable.

I have used my personal live account to use this application and it works totaly fine.

I would say eventually Chrome will have Todo Task add-in.

Thank you

Dav,

Hi!

As with any Microsoft adoption project, would recommend piloting it on a few users - and it is supported now. Here is the documentation -

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/import-your-wunderlist-account-to-microsoft-to-do-1ccb85b5-...

You can also start the import after logging into To-Do

In terms of Chrome Tab this is there

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/new-tab-todo-list-checkli/hdkbnhcgfcokjhlfiicbphafdnipnhjf...

In terms of the login, you can login with a Microsoft MSA personal account, but ideally you’ll want To-Do to work with the rest of your Office 365 services like exchange so you would login with your Office 365 credentials.

Hope that answers your questions!

Best, Chris

@Deleted  thanks for your advice. I think I unwittingly started using ToDO with my Org Id  so will want to ensure that I reset live id so that I am not dependant on access to Office 365.

@Christopher Hoard

Thanks , the team have been busy .  However,  there is still no Quick Add  in chrome  allowing the current site to be added to a task.

Agreed, in most cases I want to integrate with the whole Office 365 eco system esp . Planner boards . My thoughts were when I wanted to log out of my client's or own office 365 tenants  and just see tasks added with my live Id  - probably a nice to have.

Ah great!

Re: I see, the quick add function like wanderlust had! Yeah, there is a uservoice open for it but it hasn’t surfaced yet or been picked up by the looks of it!

I would raise a uservoice for the other one too. Agreed it would be a good to have!

I think there is only one browser "Quick Add In"  so not sure if the link refers to the current Wunderlist Windows  10 app

@Christopher Hoard ,   I have setup ToDo with a couple of accounts to try it out.  I am afraid the  New Chrome Tab extension  you reference is not an equivalent to New Wunderlist Tab . Indeed the extension details don't even mention Microsoft ToDo.
