I use To Do a lot, but it drives me insane that one can't do a simple thing like formatting text in the To-Do Task when using it on one's desktop. Fine when using it as an app on one's phone or tablet, but not on the desktop version. SUCH a basic thing to be able to do. When on earth are Microsoft going to upgrade the desktop version to enable this?!

Hi @HelenSutton,
Microsoft has rolled out updates to improve the Microsoft To Do experience on various devices, although specific text formatting changes for the desktop version aren't mentioned.
If you have feedback on text formatting, consider sharing it directly with Microsoft. Your input can influence future updates.
To do that u can use Microsoft Feedback Portal:

I just want to echo @HelenSutton's frustration. It would make such a huge difference to the larger Microsoft suite if the various teams managing different platforms coordinated their efforts. Maybe interoperability across services like ToDo <-> OneNote might be too much to hope for, but surely within the same program the Android people and the Desktop app people could come up with a shared plan.
Text formatting for To Do on Desktop is clearly the sort of thing Microsoft is never going to do and it just exemplifies why every time I or a co-worker tries to use a Microsoft product, we eventually just give up and go back to Google products.
