Can't sign in to To Do desktop client with Office365 account. Error 80070008

Copper Contributor

I downloaded the Android client and signed in to my Office365 account and made a To do list. Then I downloaded the Windows 10 desktop app of To Do. But when I select the account to log in (already logged in), I just get an login error (code 80070008) if I click on my Office365 account.

If I click "Use a different account" and click "Work of school account" it fails instantly with same error, not even letting me enter user/pass.

I have seen this before, but it was caused by a rogue update.

You could try this link below, not sure if it will help..

Everything I find about this error is related to updates. This is a login issue, so I can't see how it's related to windows update...

Unfortunately the known fix is to update

@JamesT2420  We're seeing this behavior in our org too and are waiting from Microsoft to provide an update to fix it. In the meantime what works for us as a workaround is to wait 24-48 hours after the installation of the win 10 to-do app. After that, the user can successfully log in. Maybe that will work for you, too?
