Wrong display email for my account causing login issues

I have associated my MS Teams organization originally with a Microsoft Account that has multiple aliases. I have since removed one of the aliases from my account, although my user login in MS Teams still lists that email.

Not only that, but now when I try to log into to MS Teams, it lists me as a Microsoft Account but is not directly linked to my actual account. Everything is all confused. I want to associate my MS account with a current email, not the alias that is being displayed as the profile in Teams. If I log out and try to log in with my Microsoft account, MS Teams then redirects me back to the old account.

 

I have no idea what's going on, but I want MS Teams to replace the current email and be properly linked with my MS account and current email again so that I can accurately create new teams, and no longer display an email I don't actively use. I don't know how to change that.

 

Someone in the other forums said to post here for help.
