So it seems the Windows 10 Teams client is preventing my PC from sleeping. Anyone else found this? Kinda annoying, especially on a laptop. Is this something I'm doing? I can't see any settings that would affect this behaviour. Or is it a known issue?

I'm seeing exactly the same issues, on two laptops.

I have this exact issue on both my laptop and desktop after installing Teams for the first time. If it continues to happen, I will have to stop using it.

That's three of us then. Any further comment from Microsoft people? Is this being investigated? Is it a bug?

Confirmed on my machine as well, but it seems to be because it takes over the audio stream and prevent sleep that way.

 

 

Ran powercfg /requests with and without Teams running:

Ah i've just re-read my post. Sorry I meant that I'd figured out it was Teams causing the issue, hence I came looking here for any help.

 

I've yet to discover a solution.

This issue seems to be 2+ years old and still not fixed?

Has anyone had anyone on the Teams team reach out to them to troubleshoot?

Nobody has approached me. That said, I have noticed that my desktop does appear to sleep while Teams is running, but it only seems to be if I've locked it first. So maybe something has changed? TBH, I haven't had a chance to run any proper tests, but I'd be interested to hear if others are still getting this problem.

I am still seeing this issue with the latest Teams version. If I forget to close Teams or shut my laptop, it will completely drain the battery.

I've just run a test on my desktop. Left it unlocked and running Teams (I even focused the Teams window). My power settings are configured to sleep after one hour. Came back 1.5 hours later and the PC was sleeping! So it seems something's changed somewhere. For info, here are the relevant versions of what I'm running:

When I get a moment, I'll test my laptop too.
