I am new to Teams, so looking for advice I would like to join a Teams discussion without participating in the conversation. ie View only Will my profile etc be displayed for all other Team members to see ? or could I just switch of my camera ?
You can use a meeting Link and enter the meeting not logged I. Into teams or use a private browser. Here you enter a name of choice and hence that become anonymous. This is if the inviting org has anonymous access allowed though.
