One of our users had written a message in a Teams channel.  She needed to add some information to it, so she clicked Edit.  The screen seemed to jump, and she wasn't sure where the message went.  However, whatever happened or whatever she did, she lost the entire message.  I see there is an UNDO for an entire message, but if someone accidentally changes a message and hits save, then it would awesome if there were a 'Versions', similar to SharePoint.

PS: She thinks she hit Delete instead of Undo.  Maybe they shouldn't be right next to each other?  And maybe there should be an "Are you sure" when Delete it clicked

Hi! I get your point but I think it's unlikely this will happen..Sharepoint (files) and conversations is two different services as well..

Couldn't find a uservoice created for this but if this is something you would reaaly like please post it as an idea here:

Hi Brian,

That's right - Delete is right underneath edit. Please see screenshot. Likely she hit delete instead of edit.

And as you say you should be able to undo

You could always raise a User Voice for Versions and a delete warning here at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public however it may be some time before Microsoft gets round to looking at this. May be an opportunity for some Teams training. I would vote for it.

Best, Chris

A "version" should be stored in the "Team Chat" folder in the Group mailbox, however those are intended to be used as a compliance record, the client doesn't expose them.
