Unlicensed Inactive Users Still Listed in Active Search in TEAM

Regular Contributor

We have a bunch of ex-employees that are inactive and unlicensed in O365, yet still show up when I do a search when adding new members.  From what I'm being told is that they will always show until we DELETE them permanently, but even our shared mailboxes that we create for internal stuff only (info, no-reply) are also listed, but we cannot delete them.

Since an unlicensed user cannot use TEAM, why does TEAM still list them?

Teams don't seem to leverage the GAL as other workloads do, so there is no way to "hide" a particular user. If the object exists in AAD, it will be visible in Teams as well.
