We have an employee who scheduled recurring meetigns from within Teams and then left the organization. The recipients can decline or delete the meeting invite from within Outlook but it automatically pops back up on the calendar. We've tried to login as the former employee to delete the recurrence, but we receive errors. Is this a known issue, or is there some other approach we can take to address this?

Checking in to see if there is a solution for deleting a recurring meeting. Our path to a permanent recurring meeting that we can't delete was we created this meeting under a Team that has been deleted/re-created under the same Team name. Now the meeting is orphaned and seemingly permanent.
Just checking what your solution might have been for your meeting created by an old employee.

I'm experiencing a similar problem, but in my case the meeting was created by myself in Teams. The problem is that when I create the meeting inside Teams, the meeting owner is the channel, not me. Then, I can't change anything in the meeting or delete/cancel it.
If someone knows how to fix it, please let me know...

Same problem. Can't cancel the recurring meeting (created by me) after the Team has been deleted
In teams, I select the meeting, then click View Series
It says "You are the organizer"
When I click Meeting Options, the page that opens says "Something went wrong... try again later" This continues to happen even after many days
If I open the meeting from Outlook, it appears that I am not the organizer but rather the General conversation of a particular team, however I don’t have this team listed anywhere in Teams and can't find it by searching
When I try to decline the meeting via Outlook, I get an email error saying the address doesn't exist.

I was able to cancel a recurring channel meeting by opening my calendar in teams, and then right-clicking on the meeting instance that I wished to cancel. This displayed options to 'edit' or 'delete' - selecting either of these displayed a further menu item allowing me to select the single occurrence or the series. I selected delete>series, and the meeting was cancelled in the Teams channel. I hope this helps!

Same here, we want to cancel a recurring meeting because the organiser is no longer in the team/ organisation.
However we cannot see this meeting in the agenda, only in the chat / message section. As a global administrator I am not able to change settings of this meeting, nor is the new owner of the team in which this collegue was original owner of. How can we fix this ?
